The Benefits And Joys Of Those One Man Tents

There are just times in life when the man or woman as the case may be, simply feels the need to get away from the hustle and bustle of life, explore the road less traveled and have a private commune with nature.
It is times like these that a person can truly appreciate the lightness, the convenience and the incredibly small size of a One man tent.
One man tents are the obvious choice for the solo hiker or camper who wants to spend time at that secluded campsite away from the maddening crowd.
There is nothing worse than hiking for miles or climbing up hillsides with a backpack that feels as though you are carrying a full grown elephant on your back.
Not only does choosing to bring along a solo tent reduce the weight of the tent itself, but, taking along this small tent also tends to reduce the entire weight of your backpack.
When you stop to think about it, it makes sense that the moment you start packing up that one man tent you start lessening all your other gear as well.
After all, One man tents tend to only have enough room for you to sleep in, so where are you going to put all that extra gear? Before you know it you have shaved down that camping gear to the bare necessities and lightened your load by several pounds.
Then there is the fact that many One man tents sit pretty close to the ground.
Most are not built for you to stand up inside of them comfortably, which means that they will be less effected by strong winds as there is less material to catch.
This means you can probably set up camp on that high hill with the spectacular view.
Surprisingly Solo tents also are a boon to family camping as well.
Even if you are car camping and are using a large family size tent, a solo tent works great for storing clothes, food containers and other gear that you don't want to just leave sitting outside.
Because they are lightweight and easy to set up, they make for the perfect additional storage facility for your campsite.
Other families have discovered that owning a One man tent and bringing it along on those large family camping trips allows their teen or tween to have his own sleeping space and little bit of independence from the family while still being able to enjoy the main family activities and bonding moments.
Not only does this give the family more room in the "big" tent.
But, in many cases it helps to reduce the stress that too much togetherness can cause.
Solo tents are really a great addition to that camping gear whether you are a solo camper or a family who just wants a little extra space.
They are lightweight, convenient, easy to set up and take down and usually less expensive than two, three or four man tents.
They can provide shelter for you or extra belongs and help give that older child a much needed break from younger siblings and parents alike.
