- 1). Take off the front cover by removing the two screws on the front of your camera. Loosen the ring that holds the bubble level as well.
- 2). Give all the exposed gears a shot of WD-40. Be careful not to spray too liberally.
- 3). Force all the WD-40 and dirt out using compressed air.
- 4). Apply your fine clock oil to the end of your artist's brush and lubricate all the pivot points of the gears, as well as anywhere you see metal moving against metal.
- 5). Tighten the ring holding the bubble level and place the front cover back in place, then tighten the two screws to fasten it.
- 6). Clean off the lens and any other glass bits on your camera with the microfiber cloth in case you smudged the lens during the cleaning process.
