- 1). Cut out squares 6 by 6 inches from black card stock. You will need enough squares for each guest you plan to invite.
- 2). Tie 10 to 15 pieces of embroidery string together. Form one solid knot at the end of the strings to hold them together.
- 3). Glue the knotted end of the embroidery string to the center of the black square with a hot-glue gun. Choose embroidery string that matches your school's colors to customize the invitations.
- 4). Cut out squares 4 by 4 inches from white card stock. Flip the graduation hat over and tilt it so that it looks like a diamond.
- 5). Glue the white card stock to the back of the black card stock with a glue stick.
- 6). Allow the glue to dry completely. Write the details on the graduation party invitation with a calligraphy pen. For best results, sketch the details in with a pencil, then proofread and trace over this with a pen to avoid mistakes.
- 7). Include all the important details on the graduation party. Write the name of the graduate, time, place, location and date. Inform guests if they need to RSVP.
