How to Make Users Have the Same Homepage in XP

    • 1). Using the keyboard, press the Windows logo and "R" keys simultaneously to make the "Run" window appear. Type "gpedit.msc" without quotation marks into the window and press "Enter." This launches the Group Policy Editor.

    • 2). Click the plus sign next to the "Windows Settings" folder under "User Configuration" to expand the folder.

    • 3). Expand the "Internet Explorer Maintenance" folder and click the "URL" folder under it.

    • 4). Double-click "Important URLs" on the right side of the window.

    • 5). Put a check in the box labeled "Customize Home page URL" to open the text box below it.

    • 6). Type the address of the homepage that all users on your computer should use into the box labeled "Home page URL."

    • 7). Click "OK" and close the Group Policy Editor.

    • 8). Open Internet Explorer. The new homepage is displayed for all users.
