- 1). Locate the program that you want to make a startup program and right-click it.
- 2). Select the "Create Shortcut" option from the right-click menu. Once the shortcut of the program is created, right-click the shortcut and select "Cut."
- 3). Open the "My Computer" folder and access the main hard drive [Local Disk (C:)].
- 4). Open the "Documents and Settings" folder within the main hard drive and then double-click the folder with your user name on it (e.g. Ryan).
- 5). Open the "Start" menu folder, click on the "Programs" folder, and then open the "Startup" folder. If you have any other startup programs, they will appear in this folder.
- 6). Right-click the window and select the "Paste" option. Once the shortcut is in the Startup folder, the program that the shortcut leads to will be automatically launched every time you log onto your computer.
