Cats health concerns of potty training is a big deal.
I have grown up with many different kinds of cats my whole life.
Some playful, some calm, some good, some trouble-some.
The kitten stage can be difficult when training your little one what is right and what is wrong just like a child.
Also, one of the many difficult tasks with animals is getting them potty trained.
I trained all my kitties the same way, but they all learned at different paces.
I think the most important thing to know when potty training a kitten, is to get them familiar with their surroundings, especially near the litter box or possibly the door if you choose to have an outdoor cat.
I have trained both indoor and outdoor cats.
Some of my cats went from indoor potty trained to completely outdoor which is pretty easy.
You just want to be cautious that when you start letting your cat out, they keep coming back.
Maybe leave food outside the door to let them know that this is where they will always have food, which will keep them coming back until they know better.
As for indoor kittens, you can always tell when a kitten is ready to go to the bathroom, just like a dog.
They will sniff their surroundings and start wandering behind things or in a corner of a room.
This is when you take action and bring the kitten to their litter box.
Sometimes you can even put the kitten in the box and take their paws and actually dig in the litter for them so they know this is where they need to go to go potty.
I've done this for almost every cat I have had and it never fails.
Keep in mind though, that some cats take more time than others!
