Many people understand that your baby's gender can be somewhat influenced by the woman's vaginal PH.
The nutshell version of they this happens is that an acidic vaginal environment is more conducive to a girl baby while an alkaline one is more favorable to conceiving a boy.
Many people also understand that you should test your PH prior to the time you want to conceive and then make adjustments as needed.
But what happens when you have sex after your testing? Does sex change your vaginal PH? And what happens if the woman has an orgasm as well? I'll discuss this in the following article.
Sex Without A Female Orgasm And The Resulting PH: First, let's talk about what sex and the man's sperm can do to your vaginal PH.
Sperm actually has a "normal" or neutral PH of around 7.
2 - 7.
8.
Most women have a vaginal tract that is naturally more alkaline than this.
So, this naturally occurring environment can be initially hostile to those same sperm.
This is why women will sometimes try to tweak their diet or douche to make the vaginal environment more friendly or hostile, depending on which gender they are going for.
But generally speaking, since a man's sperm is considered to be in a more neutral range, it doesn't really change or alter your initial PH all that drastically.
A woman's orgasm can though, which leads me to my next point.
PH When The Woman Has An Orgasm During Sex: The fluids released when a woman has an orgasm are said to have an effect on that same woman's PH.
When a woman has an orgasm, it makes her PH more alkaline.
In other words, it makes what it usually already a somewhat hostile environment to the neutral sperm more conducive and friendly.
So, what does this mean in terms of your baby's gender? Well, it means that if you want a girl baby, then you would want for the woman to avoid an orgasm.
This will allow the already acidic environment to remain.
(And if you want to become even more acidic, you can alter your diet or try specific douches.
) But, if you are trying for a boy baby, then you want the woman to have an orgasm since the fluids released will help to make that environment more alkaline and therefore more boy baby friendly.
Again, if you want to take this even further, you can tweak your diet and try douching along with testing your PH regularly to make sure that you have achieved optimal alkaline levels.
So to answer the question asked, sex can sometimes change your PH depending on the woman's response.
Since sperm is pretty neutral, your PH shouldn't change a lot if the woman does not orgasm.
But if she does, this can change her PH and make it more alkaline.
Whether this is a good thing for you or not depends upon the gender that you want.
It really can help to test your PH well before you have intercourse in an attempt to conceive.
That way, you'll have a lot more information about whether the woman should have an orgasm or not.
I have to mention that you only need to worry about this when you are having sex to conceive.
During other times during the month (when you are not close to ovulation) and you are just having sex for pleasure and not for conception, then you don't need to worry about your PH nearly as much.
