How to Change to a K&N Cone Carburetor Filter

    • 1). Turn the butterfly nut on the top of the carburetor housing counterclockwise to loosen it. Make sure that the engine is completely cooled off before you do this.

    • 2). Pull the carburetor cover off the carburetor housing and place it on the top of the engine. Loosen the screw on the securing clamp using the screwdriver. Pull the filter off the carburetor.

    • 3). Place the rubber seal around the air intake so that it completely seals the intake. Tighten the screw on the metal securing clamp using the screwdriver. Replace the cover to the carburetor the opposite way from how you removed it.
