I was expecting a huge revelation, but really I wasn't very surprised by the results.
I wasn't exactly surprised by a couple of the drinks on the list nor was I surprised about their composition.
When you stop and think about it, how healthy can a drink with the word "heath bar" in the title really be? I think that anyone that reads the labels could've figured out that something called "Vitamin water" which is made by Coca-Cola isn't exactly healthy.
I don't care what kind of vitamins the drink claims to have, if it takes 33grams of sugar to deliver it, it's not worth all that sugar to me.
You may be wondering what the unhealthiest drink in the nation is, it's the Baskin Robbin's Large Heath Bar Shake.
Just how bad for you is it? It comes in with stats that are nothing short of spectacular, check this out:
- 2,310 calories
- 266 grams of sugar!
- 108 grams of fat!
Now that's impressive.
I knew that you needed to watch not only what you eat, but also what you drink, but I had no idea that a 32 oz drink could pack such a wallop.
How much time on trail would it take to work off all that? That's more than a day's worth of calories in one 32 ounce drink.
Word to the wise, watch not only what you eat, but also what you drink.
Like I write over on my training and weight loss blog, if you get stuck on a weight loss plateau, it could be due to what you're drinking and not just due to what you're eating.
