My friend asked me in her letter, which one is worse between eating sugar and yeast bread in anti candida diet.
She just started learning about candida and is amazed to find out that this was causing a lot of her other problems.
She is trying to eliminate sugar and yeast from her diet and is taking acidophilus.
She is wondering if she should try Nystatin, and how we would know when it is under control.
She needs any advice on how to get started in her anti candida diet.
In my humble opinion, of course, you will have to do what you believe is best, but I would try any or all of the natural cures before going for anything drastic like Nystatin.
I have heard of people having dire and severe side effects from Nystatin (paralysis, in fact).
Now, based on my experiences in the world of candidiasis, I feel it much better to take it for what it is worth.
However, as to her question as to which is worse between sugar and bread, I have to say neither are a bit good for a candida sufferer.
Both sugar and refined white flour feed the yeast and make it happy.
Plus, the yeast in the bread might be an allergen.
That is how I understand it anyway.
The 2 yeasts are not closely related, but a person who is affected will probably react to any/all the yeasts.
The same goes for the mold on aged cheeses, wine/vinegar/beer making yeasts, etc.
On the contrary, I would always suggest you not to be too strict for all the times and eating only protein.
It is good to do a strict candida diet in the beginning, but remember that we can develop sensitivities to other kinds of food besides sugar and carbs.
In short, you may eat bread or sugar as a treat, but the key is to consume them in moderation.
