How to Send Money to Czechoslovakia

    Send Through MoneyGram or Western Union

    • 1). Look for an agent of MoneyGram or Western Union in your city. Both the companies have listed their agent locations on their websites (see References). After opening the website, click on "Find Us"/"Find an Agent". You will need to enter your address to see the nearest agent location. You can also calculate the company fees on their websites. Click the "How Much?"/"How Much Will it Cost Me?" links to determine the money transfer fee.

    • 2). Visit the agent location you located in Step 1. Take along your passport or driver's license. Also, take along the money you want to send and the company's fee.

    • 3). Fill in the money sender form. The form will ask for contact details of the sender and recipient along with transfer amount in figures.

    • 4). Give the completed form back to the agent along with the funds to be transferred and the company fee. The agent will then give you a receipt, which will also contain a "Reference Number" or a "Money Transfer Control Number" (MTCN).

    • 5). Communicate the "Reference Number"/"MTCN" to the recipient. When he receives money from the agent in his own city, he will be asked for this number.

    Send Through PayPal

    • 1). Visit the PayPal website and click the "Sign Up" button. You will need to enter your personal information as well as a credit or debit card number and its expiry date. After signing up successfully, you will be able to send money.

    • 2). Click the "Send Money" link.

    • 3). Type in the recipient's email ID in the "Email" field. Also, enter the amount you want to send to the recipient and select the currency in which you want to transfer funds. For instance, you can choose US dollars or Czech Koruny.

    • 4). Specify whether you are sending the money as gift or payment. Click "Continue."

    • 5). Review the details you have entered and check if it's all accurate. Click "Send." PayPal will deliver the money to the recipient and will notify him of the received funds.
