- 1). Cut approximately five to six inches of wire, depending on the size of the briolette you have chosen. Thread the wire through the hole.
- 2). Move the briolette near to midpoint of the wire. Fold the wire upward to form a "V" shape. Next, move it across the bead top to take on a triangular form.
- 3). Bend the shorter end of the wire at an angle using flat nose pliers. With the pliers, move the other wire end straight up. Carefully wrap the shorter wire around the base of the straight one. Create at least three coils, keeping the wire flat so that the coils are tight.
- 4). Cut off excess wire from the coil as close to the end as possible. Smooth with a file. With the remaining vertical wire fashion a loop. Using the round nose pliers, grasp the end of the wire just above the last wrap and roll it downward to form a loop.
- 5). Wrap the wire under and around where the tip of the pliers holds the loop. Repeat this step by grasping the loop from the side and wrapping the wire around two more times. It should meet the first wrapped wire. Keep the wire taut throughout this process. Cut off any excess wire and smooth or tuck it into the first wrap so it's flush.
