- 1). Decide if you would like to fly to Hawaii and cruise to different Hawaiian island ports, or if you would like to cruise to Hawaii from a port in California, Ensenada Mexico, New Zealand, Sydney Australia, Seattle Washington, Vancouver Canada, or Ft Lauderdale, Florida.
- 2). If you are planning on flying to Hawaii and want to cruise around Hawaii, these are the cruise lines that do Hawaiian island cruises: Norwegian, Royal Caribbean, Carnival, and Princess.
- 3). If you are planning on cruising to Hawaii, decide which cruise line you would like to cruise with. Currently, Holland America, Princess, Cunard, Celebrity, Silversea, Crystal, Fred Olsen Cruise Line, and Seabourn sail from California. Celebrity and Holland America sail from New Zealand. Carnival sails from Mexico. Royal Caribbean, Holland America, and Princess sail from Australia. Holland America sails from Washington. Carnival, Princess, Holland America, and Royal Caribbean sail from Vancouver Canada. Seabourn sails from Ft Lauderdale, but it is extremely expensive.
- 4). Look online at travel websites that compare cruise ship prices or go directly to the cruise ship websites. Once you have decided which cruise lines work for your budget and time frame, research the cruise boat amenities and services on the cruise company's website. Find the one that is best for you.
- 5). You can either book your cruise on the travel website or on the cruise company's website. If you are flying to Hawaii, the cruise company may be able to make the airline reservations for you. If the cruise company makes the airline reservation and the flight is delayed, they will often delay the ship's departure until you arrive. If you make your own airline reservation, the ship may not wait for you.
