- 1). Plant your ornithogalum bulbs in the fall in an area that drains well and that receives full sun. Any area that stands in water hours after a rainstorm should be avoided.
- 2). Dig holes that are six inches apart and three inches deep.
- 3). Place the bulbs in the holes with the pointy ends facing up. The bulbs are shaped like onions and the pointed ends are easy to determine.
- 4). Cover the bulbs with soil and water the area thoroughly.
- 5). Watch for plant growth to appear in late winter and flowers to develop in the spring. Water as needed.
- 6). Allow the foliage of the plant to die off naturally. Do not cut off yellowing and dying foliage as it's needed for the plant's nourishment so it will become a stronger producer during the next growing season.
