How to Create an ISO DVD File in Windows

    • 1). Download and install a program for recording ISO files to your computer.

    • 2). Insert the CD that you want to convert into an ISO file.

    • 3). Open the ISO creating software and create a new project. If your program exclusively handles ISO recording, skip to step 5. If your program is a general DVD ripper or other program, proceed to the next step.

    • 4). Specify in the project that you want to create an ISO file by selecting the option when it appears when you open the program, or by selecting the Create ISO File in the File menu. The option may also be to "Create a Disc Image" of the CD or DVD. Note that because each ISO ripping software is different, you will need to refer to the documentation for that program for specific instructions on creating an ISO project.

    • 5). Select the drive you want to create the ISO file from using the window that appears, then select the folder on your PC where you want the recorded ISO file to be saved to.

    • 6). Press the button to begin the burning process. This makes the program record the image of the DVD and save it to the folder you specify.
