- 1). Peel away the baseboard with the prybar or screwdriver on the side of the room with the wrinkle. Be careful not to break the baseboard because it'll go back onto the wall when you're finished.
- 2). Pull the edge of the carpet along the wall off from the now-revealed tack board.
- 3). Place the teeth of the knee kicker into the carpet nap about 6 inches from the wall with the handle facing outward and near the spot with the wrinkle.
- 4). Kneel in front of the pad on the handle of the knee kicker. Balance yourself on one knee and pull the other knee back. Swing your knee firmly until it hits the padded handle, which forces the carpet forward. Continue to do this all along the line of carpet that was pulled away from the tack board until the wrinkle stretches out and disappears.
- 5). Place the carpet back onto the tack strip and force it downward to hold it in place. Replace the baseboard using the same nails and nail holes.
