- 1). Measure the dimensions of your art niche.
- 2). Start with one side of the art niche, and add 2 to 3 inches to the dimensions of your first side. Unroll and cut the first strip of wallpaper to fit.
- 3). Unroll, measure and align another strip of wallpaper to the first. If this is a patterned wallpaper design, line up the patterns across the different strips of wallpaper. If your wallpaper has a random pattern, cut it according to step 2. Unroll, measure, align and cut pieces until you have enough to cover each side and surface within the art niche.
- 4). Roll up the strip, pattern side in, and submerge the first strip into a tray of lukewarm water.
- 5). Remove the wallpaper from the water, unroll it, and lay it on a flat surface, pattern side down. Wet any dry spots using a damp sponge.
- 6). Fold the wallpaper in half lengthwise, being careful not to crease it, and allow it to cure in this position for 10 minutes.
- 7). Unfold the cured wallpaper, and apply it to the art niche starting at the topmost edge. Smooth out bubbles using a brush, and trim any excess wallpaper.
- 8). Repeat steps 4 to 7 with the other pieces of wallpaper.
