Muscle Building - Give Yourself a Break

Do you want  some new ideas on how to keep the spice in your training, how to keep you going back for more, workout after workout and look forward to it without getting bored and without your body going stale through the same old routine.
Here is a series of three methods to the same kind of exercise that will not only stimulate your whole body but also keep your mind and body from getting in an exercise rut.
Our muscles are like our brains they need stimulation to keep them interested.
If you go to the gym and do the same workout on the same days at the same time, what do you think is going to happen to your muscles, well they will get bored and come to that so will your brain.
Body development will probably come to a stand still and your brain will be so bored that it could lead to you not bothering to go to the gym any more through lack of interest.
It is good for mind and body to change our weight training routines around a bit on a regular basis, it keeps the whole training session fresh and our muscles guessing.
This can make for good results, also we know we need to do regular cardiovascular workouts to keep our bodies burning that fat.
The combination of the two will get us a strong hard body that is ripped over time.
But sometimes we can get into an exercise rut and the body and mind are crying out for something different to keep them interested.
Something challenging in a different way to weights and aerobics.
I go running twice a week and cycling twice a week as part of my overall body development plan, this along with weight training gives me the results I want and I am progressing well, but sometimes I just fancy something different, a game of Tennis occasionally gives my whole body a great workout.
But I recently started something different and it happened by accident.
I am fortunate to be able to live by a beach and I often run the length of it as part of my regular running program.
At one end of the beach there are two sets of steps each set have about 30 steps which I usually walk up getting my breath back from my run, not anymore.
I decided one day to try and run up them, WOW now that is intense! So I turned it into an alternative workout.
I have now three variations to this intense body busting workout.
The First One is Beach Sprinting and it does not have to be a beach, any way so I sprint for about a minute running as fast as I possibly can and then rest until I have my breath back and then go again.
The Second One is Hill Sprinting, run up a good sized hill (easy for me, there are loads where I live) as fast as you can and then rest to get your breath back, you can get your breath back while walking back down the hill and then repeat.
The Third One Is Stair Sprinting, my personal favorite.
Run up a set of stairs and then get your breath walking back down again and the, yes you guess right, repeat.
These are so intense and a shock to all muscle groups in the body, it is great for the mind to do something completely different and how good are these for fat burning and metabolism, well they are great.
So give yourself a break now and again from the weights or the aerobics and try some really intense body shocking, mind stimulating, muscle building excursions.
