Wedding Guest Interference With Your Wedding Photographer At A Wedding

As a wedding photographer, I've run into a situation in order to find a really good barrier to a broad range of wedding photography and family portraits a lot. Today at a wedding, it seems like every wedding guest brings along its own meaning and shoot digital camera and want to capture every moment of the event yourself. Most of the time I do not have a problem with them taking pictures around me, unless they are standing right in front of my camera lens photo of the bride and groom, just as they come marching down the aisle.

However, very often at weddings, but I am making a formal group photograph a wedding or family portrait, friends or family members, with his little digital camera (or once a great digital SLR) want to stand next to me on or off the side to try and get the same picture I account, at the same time. Generally, we are very busy schedule (very often it is normal to be running way behind schedule), these pictures are often taken before the wedding ceremony is scheduled to start and hard to stop and explain why I do not want them around with their cameras. I'm trying to diplomatically as possible to get them to stop, but they often ignore me, or act offended.

Later, some of these people have told me they think that I do not want to take any pictures, because I am afraid of losing revenue from print sales, or that I feel jealous. This does not mean that. The reason is that I want all my photos to look in the same direction - to me.

When multiple cameras are aimed at posing for photos, a group of people, it is natural that some people will look to the left, one camera, some distance away to the right of another camera, and the rest will be looking into my lens. Once the photo is printed large enough to really see everyone looking in all directions is inconsistent impact on the viewer. These guests off with your digital camera side, the picture, they think they do to me, it's just a group of people in a photo. The picture I'm actually trying to do, although there are a group of couples eyeballs and I want to take pictures, all of them looking directly into my camera. Nothing kills a good group photo over the case when the eyes are looking left, a little to the right and slightly to the lens. Group picture works best when everyone is looking right into the eyes of the photo viewer. Everything else is to reject the picture, when it comes to editing.

I always try to politely ask the guests to wait until after I've finished my shot. And I always make a few shots to insure that there are no half closed eyes, to catch people blink. When I do that, they can rush and take your turn. They should should keep in mind that the bride and groom hired a professional photographer it is very expensive, that their wedding pictures to ensure that your wedding album will end up looking great. If they really need to get your photos printed, they should get a copy of the picture of the wedding couple later or if they really need to do your own version, courtesy to wait until I finished the bride and groom photo.
