How to Write a Bibliography With Multiple Authors
1Cite the names of all authors in the order of publication when a work was written by at least two but no more than six authors, using last name followed by first initial.
2
Cite the last name of the first author and "et al." when a work was written by more than six authors. "Et al." is Latin, meaning "and others."
3
Use this sequence in citing bibliographic information: Start with the last name and first initial of the first author. Place the publication date in parentheses after the authors. Place the title in italics, capitalizing the first word only. List the location of publication (example: New York, NY), followed by a colon. Cite the publisher.
4
Each piece of information must be followed by a period and two spaces.
5
Follow this example in citing a source with more than six authors: Lefcourt, P. et. al. (2000) The first time I got paid for it...writers' tales from the Hollywood trenches. Cambridge, MA: Da Capo Press.
