- 1). Wash the silicone bundt cake pan with warm soapy water before use. The pan can also be cleaned on the top rack of a dishwasher.
- 2). Preheat the oven according to the cake recipe or package instructions for at least 30 minutes. This will allow the oven to reach baking temperature.
- 3). Apply a thin layer of non-stick cooking spray to the inside of the pan, paying particular attention to the deep crevices. Silicone pans are intended to be naturally non-stick, but this will ensure the bundt cake slips out with ease.
- 4). Place the silicone bundt pan on a cookie sheet and pour in the batter until the pan is 3/4 full, or according to the recipe's directions. The cookie sheet will add stability to the flexible pan while ensuring it doesn't get scorched--something that can occur when silicone comes in contact with direct heat.
- 5). Place the oven rack in the middle of the oven to ensure even baking. Then put the bundt cake on the rack.
- 6). Allow the bundt cake to bake according to the package or recipe directions. Check the cake approximately 5 to 10 minutes before the baking time is up by sticking a toothpick or uncooked piece of spaghetti into the cake. The cake is ready when the spaghetti strand or toothpick comes out clean and free of any uncooked batter.
- 7). Remove the cake with oven mitts and allow it to cool completely.
- 8). Flip the silicone bundt pan upside down. Then hold the pan over a serving plate and shake it gently until the cake falls onto the platter.
- 9). Wash the silicone bundt pan with soapy water or place it on the top rack of the dishwasher. Allow the pan to air dry before storing.
