How to Create a Funeral Program Tri Fold Brochure

    • 1). First you will need to locate a web resource that specializes in funeral program templates and offers a variety of designs in a tri fold style. For a funeral program, the best size for a tri fold is a legal size 8.5 x 14 which will allow you ample room for text and photos.

    • 2). Once you find a web resource, browse through the selection of designs for the Collage Tri Fold Brochures and select the one that best represents your loved one's personality or their way of life.

    • 3). Purchase the template online in the application that you want to create your program in. You can select from Microsoft Word, Publisher or Apple iWork Pages. Download the template by clicking on SAVE when the download popup message appears on your screen. Do not select OPEN, but rather the SAVE option. Save the file to your desktop for easy location.

    • 4). Once the template has been download to your selected desktop, open the zip file by double clicking on it. Then double click on the application template file to open.

    • 5). The template will have two pages. Page 1 contains your front cover and back, page 2 contains the inside page of the brochure. Begin by selecting each text box and entering or pasting your own information. Once you have finished entering all the text within the program, your ready to insert the photos.

    • 6). There will be 7 photo boxes on the inside page. You will right click on each box and choose FORMAT AUTOSHAPE to insert a photo. Once all your photos are inserted, move on the first page and insert the front cover photo in the same manner. If you are unsure of how to insert the photos, make sure you contact the web resource you purchased it from and obtain additional help.

    • 7). Do a print preview of your completed program. Make sure everything appears just as you want it to be. If not, make minor adjustments to the template. Once your satisfied with how everything looks, print this file on your home printer or take it to an office supply store. If you take it to an office supply store, make sure you get a proof before having them print multiple copies.

    • 8). You can then proceed to fold the program after all printing has completed. Some office supply stores will offer the folding as an additional service. Or you can choose to fold them yourself. Once folded, give yourself a pat on the back for a job well done, now the programs are ready for distribution!
