Emotional Freedom Techniques: How to Release Anxiety - Part One

Emotional freedom technique allows us to tap on specific body points and have the worry story disappear.
It may be hard to believe and yes, it is possible let me tell how.
When we have a traumatic event in our lives, be it a big event like a car accident or a seemly small event like being eight years old and wanting to connect with other children and something happens to make us feel as if we don't fit in, the traumatic emotions cause a freeze frame in the memory of our nervous system.
As we go through life every time we have a highly emotional event, even if it seems to only last a second like a shock, these memories are all accessed at once because they are grouped together like files in a computer.
By tapping on certain points we start to release the old files.
No matter what you worry about, to the spirit it feels like trauma and can lead to anxiety.
For example, the other day I was worried about how to talk with my life partner and what was coming up for me was past trauma that I had experienced in other relationships.
The more I pushed against the feelings the more painful they became.
The story I was telling myself was, "I'm not good enough for this relationship", in spirit how can we not be good enough? In essence this negative statement is an untruth and the process caused my mind to activate many memories that backed up this belief.
The result was a spiral into despair the solution was using this simply tapping technique.
Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) appears to work on the autonomic nervous system.
This is the part of the nervous system that is responsible for the flight or fight response.
Since painful memories happened over time they are usually accessed subconsciously which is why we feel anxiety or worry without really understanding the cause.
Have you ever said to yourself, "why am I feeling this way? I know better but I can't get past this block.
" Subconsciously you are accessing stored trauma.
Through tapping on specific points on the body which are part of our meridian system (nerve patterns), we can cause the stored trauma to be released and the emotional pain seems to vanish.
As we release the pain we can then begin to train our nervous system to respond to positive stimuli, this is where we find emotional freedom.
This process works with core beliefs.
When you work with psychology you'll find that there is often a core belief about ourselves, about the people in our lives, about the men in our lives or about women that we are not even aware of, These beliefs are getting in the way of us being able to attract the right circumstances into our life and create the kind of relationships and experiences that were urn for.
Using the tapping technique we can find emotional freedom by clearing these beliefs and in turn begin to find relief from the pain of anxiety.
