- 1). Write a personal check or obtain a certified bank check or money order. Write in the exact dollar amount that you want to send. Sign and date the check or money order.
- 2). Place the check or money order in an envelope. Write the recipient's name and address in the appropriate spot along with your return address.
- 3). Take your outgoing mail to a mailing center or professional shipper. Go to a post office, FedEx or UPS mailing center. Pay for a quick shipping method--such as next-day or 2-day shipping--that provides you with a tracking number and delivery confirmation, which requires the recipient to sign for the shipment. Choose an insurance option if you're sending $100 or more.
- 1). Sign up for an online payment service that allows you to send money to the country of your recipient. Online sites that allow the sending and receiving of money include PayPal, Moneybookers, Perfect Money and AlertPay. Tell the recipient to sign up for the same online payment service.
- 2). Verify your online digital currency account, if necessary, before sending money. Provide details such as your bank account information or debit/credit card numbers to have a way to fund your account. Add enough funds to your online account to cover the payment you wish to make.
- 3). Send the desired amount of money to the recipient. Enter the required details, such as the recipient's e-mail address, account number or cell phone number. Click the submit or send button to process your payment.
- 1). Withdraw the cash from your bank account that you want to send. Confirm with the recipient the amount needed to ensure that you withdraw the right amount.
- 2). Gather the required personal details from the recipient. Wiring money through a service such as Western Union or MoneyGram requires that you have the recipient's full name exactly as it appears on his identification card or driver's license. Ask the recipient for his bank account details--such as routing and checking account numbers--if you want to send a direct bank wire.
- 3). Take the money to a wiring service or your bank. Fill out a money transfer form if using Western Union or MoneyGram, making sure to write the full name of the recipient, your details and any other requested information. Give the completed form to the office clerk to have him complete the money wire. Get a receipt for your wire transfer.
If using a direct bank wire, give your cash and recipient's banking details to the banker or teller. Sign any necessary paperwork to complete the bank wire. Follow up with your bank within three to five business days to make sure the wire was successfully completed.
