- 1). Draw the body of the airplane with the nose pointing to the left. The type of airplane you are drawing will determine the placement of the wings. 747s have wings high on the top of the body, two-seater planes have small low wings and fighter jets have wings that extend from the base of the plane. Older planes have wings that extend from the very top of the plane.
- 2). Draw a long, thin almond shape on the body of the plane where you want the wings to be. The pointed tip of the almond should be pointing to the right.
- 3). Draw a smaller almond shape a little below the first one. The top half of the small almond should overlap into the bottom of the first almond, and the point should be just down and to the right of the larger tip. Erase the line of the large almond that overlaps into the small almond.
- 4). Connect the tips of the almonds with a short diagonal line. Connect the apex of the rounded ends of the almonds with a diagonal line. Erase the line of the large almond that extends below the diagonal line.
