Getting Twitter followers is actually pretty easy.
Anyone can do it and plenty of people can get groups of people on their lists pretty fast.
The key to making those people responsive to your Tweets is to start off with the right types of followers.
There are three important factors that can make the difference between having thousands of uninterested numbers and seeing big responses from people that are actually reading your Tweets.
1.
Promote other people's stuff more than your own.
Nobody wants to keep seeing the same old self serving Tweets over and over again and not only do these go unread, but people start unfollowing pretty fast.
Make sure that you promote others more than yourself by at least 10 to 1.
For every 1 time that you promote your own links, promote others at least 10 times more than yours.
2.
Retweet the good Tweets from others.
When you Retweet someone's message, they feel as though their message was good enough to be retweeted and it naturally makes them feel better.
(Wouldn't you?) When you make other people feel good, they feel good about you.
3.
Reply to individuals about their Tweets.
When you make personal replies to someone's message using the @twittername, it shows that you are not an automated message being sent from a software program.
People start to see that you are a real person who is reading their Tweets.
In case you haven't noticed yet, the three important points above all have to do with recognizing others and be willing to give more than you take.
Once people see that you are a real person that wants to participate in a community, you will start to gain plenty of high quality Twitter followers fast.
