- 1). Click "Finder" on your Macintosh screen's dock and select the "Applications" tab in the Finder's sidebar. Double-click the iTunes icon to open the application. For Windows PCs, click the Start button at the bottom of the screen and click "All Programs," "iTunes" and click the "iTunes" icon.
- 2). Drag the AVI file to the iTunes source list and click the Movies icon in the source list.
- 3). Click "Advanced" on the iTunes menu, and click "Create iPod or iPhone Version."
- 4). Insert the iPod cable into the bottom of the iPod touch and into the computer's USB 2.0 port.
- 5). Click the iPod tab underneath the Devices section, located in the iTunes source list. Select "Movies" and select "Sync Movies."
- 6). Select the box next to the new video file,or select the circle next to "Automatically include all movies." Select the Apply button in the lower-right corner of the program window to sync the video to your iPod touch.
- 7). Remove the iPod cable from the iPod touch once the sync completes.
