Stress Related Acne - Control Your Stress For Clear Skin That is Acne Free

The most common skin problem for adults is stress related acne.
Most people tend to think of acne as a problem you leave behind when you leave your teenage years, but the reality is that the majority of adults will have some acne problems as well, and most of these problems will have the same cause; stress.
Acne, by and large, is controlled by hormones.
This is the reason that teenagers get it, and is one of the reason that women tend to get more acne around their monthly period and while they're pregnant.
The production of hormones, in adults, tends to be radically affected by stress.
What happens is that the stress hormones cause the skin to produce more oil as a response to perceived demands.
But since the extra oil isn't actually needed, what you get is an excess of the oils needed to naturally keep the skin lubricated.
When this happens, the pores become clogged, which results in acne.
Stress doesn't just stop there, though.
Because chronic stress also drives down the immune system, your skin isn't as able to fight the bacteria present on your skin, which means the clogs created are much more likely to become infected.
This leads to the zits and pimples that we associate with acne.
Unfortunately, this also causes additional stress for most of us, making this a vicious circle of sorts.
The problem is that most of us are living lives with far more stress than our bodies can handle.
The stress reaction systems we have are designed to work in short bursts, not to be pushed to their limits day in and day out.
Most of our stress reactions are a good thing, in the short term.
When you're being chased by a tiger and need to desperately avoid being eaten, it's a good thing that your body is producing the stress hormones that will allow you to survive.
But like using nitro in a car, using too much will causes burnout and other problems.
Despite the fact that most people's acne problems are stress related, most people seek help in form of treatments and formulas for their acne.
There's nothing wrong with this, but if you want to get off the acne treatment merry go round, you need to treat the underlying problem, the stress that is creating the acne.
The best thing you can do to reduce your stress is, well, reduce your stress.
It would be nice if we could just walk away from all the things causing stress in our lives, but the reality is that we just can't do it.
The next best thing is to learn how to relax.
Find a nice, pleasant and preferably dark or at least dimly lit place.
Sit down is you must, lie down if you can, and begin to take deep, slow breaths.
Breathe in through your nose and breathe out through your mouth.
While you do this, workout on tensing each set of muscles as hard as you can and then releasing them.
Work your way up from your calves, tensing and then making each muscle as relaxed as you can.
You'll find after fifteen minutes of this that your mind will be clear and your body will be perfectly relaxed.
This will go a long way to reducing stress, far more so than you might imagine.
You need to make sure to do this everyday, and you will see an immediate improvement in your stress related acne.
Are your ready to enjoy clear skin and eliminate your acne?
