Is Article Marketing Good For SEO? (Hint - I Had To Write 2500 Articles To Learn The REAL Truth)

And believe me, I hope to save YOU a lot the same trouble.
Article marketing IS good for SEO.
But NOT in the way that most of the "gurus" teach, preach, tell and sell you..
:-) Article marketing allows you to BORROW the trust and leverage that the content directories get in the search engines.
For example, an article I may write in a diet niche, as an affiliate, may offer me the opportunity to get 2 or 3 THOUSAND readers in just a few days, allowing me to build my list with hyper speed, or generate a boatload of backsides at an affiliate offer I think they may like to buy.
I've used this approach to generate MILLIONS of readers, over thousands of articles in close to a hundred niches.
BUT...
and this is a pretty big but, the SEO benefit to article marketing, if you are creating content to bump UP your own site, service or offer..
...
is fairly negligible.
YES, it's good to have some good links from high value, well trusted human edited content directories.
But you DON'T getmuch "new" credit for every article you write from an SEO standpoint..
..
even if you're mixing up your anchor text, and changing up your landing pages often.
In other words, your blog is NOT going to rank much better with 100 articles "pointing" back to it..
..
instead of 5 or 7 or 10.
Remember, the search engines are NOT stupid.
The guys writing algorithms to measure this sort of stuff are A LOT smarter than the online marketing guru who swears he's got the secret...
and will share it with you on 12 DVD's for a few thousand dollars.
You know better.
And if you didn't before, you do now.
It took me well over 2000 articles to start to realize that while my CONTENT was CRUSHING it in the search engines..
..
my blogs weren't getting that much of a bump.
All I did to FIX it was change the way I approached my article marketing...
from an SEO standpoint.
(I focused on the LIST and not the links..
:-)The truth is, creating copious amounts of killer content is the best way to build your brand...
and your business..
..
period.
But understanding WHY you are creating that content is equally as important - DON'T make the same mistakes as me!
