Hormone Production - The Primary Aspect of Muscle Development

We often ignore, or are unaware of, the primary aspect of muscle building, which is the release of two critically important hormones: Testosterone and Human Growth Hormone (HGH).
Theses hormones directly facilitate the muscle development process.
Thus, we see that a bodybuilder would do well to enhance the production of these vital hormones.
However, the proper way to do this is not by infusing yourself with drugs and synthetic steroids.
A great many researches have been carried out on testosterone and HGH because of the bodybuilding industry.
Many erroneously believe that a workout of at least 45 minutes per session at the gym is required for effective bodybuilding.
This is very incorrect, however, as far as building muscle mass is concerned.
The reason for this is not difficult to understand.
Studies have shown that reaching momentary muscle failure for multiple sets does nothing to enhance testosterone production.
Quite to the contrary, reaching total muscle failure during exercising engenders the production of cortisol.
And this particular hormone hinders muscle growth; which is quite contrary to our goals of achieving rapid muscle development.
So, the key to quick muscle development are brief, vigorous workouts.
During workouts, momentary muscle fatigue should never be reached, except in the last sets.
And for this last set, you must achieve hypertrophy to gain muscle mass.
This is when you should exert the most effort.
Again, never go to complete muscle failure every time.
So, we see that it would be to our benefit to enhance the production of the appropriate hormones and to discourage those that would not enhance muscle development.
