HGH treatments are used by many individuals these days. They have been used to help children who lack the ability to develop on their own. Unfortunately, human growth hormone supplements have also been taken advantage of by sports athletes looking to improve their performance; and of course it has been used by individuals looking to restore their youth, or stay "young". However, not all of the results of HGH treatment are known yet; and we really have no concept of what the long-term results are from HGH treatments. For one, what are the results of these hormones on levels of glucose in the bood and insulin?
Many doctors have often been concerned about providing HGH to individuals with diabetes. A lot of research has indicated that providing the hormone to individuals who are diabetic can cause insulin resistance. An endocrinologist in Sweden's research revealed just this, well at first anyway. However, after 6 months of keeping his individuals on HGH, insulin levels went back to where they were before starting the HGH treatments. From these conclusions, the medical doctor was led to believe that this was caused by a change in the individuals body composition; a decrease in the individual's excess weight namely, which could then counteract the negative adverse reactions associated with the HGH therapy.
Another study that was performed by a medical doctor at Johns Hopkins reinforced this same concept that when an older individual had lower than normal development hormones amounts, they also had higher amounts of intra-abdominal fat and their insulin was not as powerful. Because of this situation, these subjects usually did have higher glucose levels in the bloodstream. The medical doctor at Johns Hopkins states that, if given the right quantity of human growth hormone, a subject's insulin may be more efficient; thus causing sugar to be focused to where it can be used rather than being kept as fat in the body. The key seems to be in providing individuals with the correct dosage of HGH rather than providing individuals with an excessive quantity.
All of these issues with individuals human growth hormone treatments can be of concern. What are the long-term effects of the treatments? What are the immediate effects? Is the risk worth the return? These kinds of questions have to be asked by each individual who is considering HGH therapy. Other alternatives include natural HGH treatments which is much more affordable and more safe than synthetic HGH treatments. Of course, before looking into any natural supplements option, please be sure to consult your physician; especially if you have other health problems.
