An InMotion Dreamweaver Website Upload Tutorial

    • 1). Launch "Dreamweaver." Click the "Site" tab and select "New Site." Click the "Advanced" tab.

    • 2). Type a name in the "Site Name" field. Click the folder icon next to "Local Root Folder" to navigate to the folder where you placed all your files and folders for the website.

    • 3). Click the folder icon next to "Default Images Folder" and navigate to the images folder within your local root folder. Check "Enable Cache."

    • 4). Click "Remote Info" in the left pane.

    • 5). Click the "Access" drop-down menu and select "FTP." Type your InMotion domain name in the "FTP Host" field.

    • 6). Enter "/public_html/" (without the quotes) in the "Host Directory" field.

    • 7). Type your InMotion user name and password. Check "Save" if you want Dreamweaver to save your password so you don't have to enter it each time you upload.

    • 8). Click the "Test" button to make sure all the information were entered correctly.

    • 9). Click "OK" when the test generates a success message.

      Click to select individual files in the left pane under "My Site." Click the blue up arrow button on the top bar every time you select a file for upload.

      Close Dreamweaver once you have uploaded all the files.
