Coach Vs. First Class Tickets

    Boarding

    • Holders of first-class tickets normally check in through a separate counter and board before everyone else.

    Lounge

    • A first-class passenger enjoys a lounge that avoids the crowds, and has food and drink.

    Cabin

    • A first-class cabin has fewer seats and is usually located in the front of the plane. Coach class crams as many bodies as possible into each row.

    Seating

    • A first-class seat, especially on international flights, often reclines to a flat bed, and is wide and long enough to fit your entire body. A coach seat is narrower, more cramped and only reclines by a few degrees.

    Price

    • A first-class ticket can cost at least 10 times the price of a coach-class seat. But that expensive ticket will not get you to your destination any faster.
