Many gay couples have children together via adoption or from prior relationships. Family resorts are increasingly Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT)-friendly, providing accommodations and activities for same sex partners and their children. Gay families can enjoy the same vacation spots as families containing opposite sex partners or choose accommodations that offer specific gay entertainment. - Families can stay at one of three hotels at Universal Orlando. The Lowes Portofino Bay Hotel includes themed swimming pools, live Italian music nightly and eight restaurants. The Hard Rock Hotel features five restaurants, a rock-and-roll party on the last Thursday of each month, and a sand beach pool with a cabana theme. The Loews Royal Pacific Resort has a weekly live Hawaiian show, a sand beach with a children's-themed pool and six restaurants on-site.
Families staying at any of the hotels at Universal Orlando Resort can skip lines when boarding the rides at Universal Orlando theme parks, including Universal Studios and the Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme parks.

universalorlando.com - Family Thailand Adventure offers LGBT families with children the opportunity to tour Thailand by boat. The 14-day boat tour goes over the River Kwai, with stops on land where families can participate in activities such as elephant rides or walking down the beach. During some parts of the tour, families can stay in local resorts that are LGBT-friendly and set up like Western hotels. However, families may want to consider local customs about matters such as public displays of affection, and no specifically gay-themed events are offered.
