How to Make the Most Out of Your Pedometer Watch

If you have an established work out routine that involves any kind of running, jogging, walking, or moving your legs in any way you should be constantly on the look out for ways to improve that work out to get you better results in less time.
After all, that's what we all want when working out isn't it? We want to work out less but still get in better shape.
Well, there is a piece of equipment out there called the pedometer watch that allows you to make the most out of your work out routines.
The pedometer watch keeps track of the distance you have traveled and also gives you the amount of steps you take.
It is a useful device because it turns what was once a long and arduous task into a calculated number game.
Getting the most out of your work out is easy once you start using a pedometer watch but getting the most out of your pedometer watch is a little bit more difficult.
There are a few simple techniques you can implement that will have you working out harder more regularly and your routine will be more sustainable over time.
Use your pedometer watch to set goals for yourself.
What I like to do is set out a spread sheet called My Work Out Routine.
I'll have a few columns on this spread sheet that I will be using to keep track of my progress.
How do I keep track of my progress? Well, I use the data that the pedometer watch present me.
I'll have one column for the day, another for my goal step count, and another for my actual step count.
The point of the game is to see how many days I can surpass my daily goal.
I'll also make sure to ramp up the amount of exercise over time, adding about 50 steps every two days or so.
This way I can guarantee improvement.
When you're focused on the number of steps you're taking you won't be worried about the hard part of the exercising.
You'll wake up each day and look at your goal spread sheet and think: Okay, I have to beat this number for today.
I can do that.
It makes you stop thinking about working out in pounds.
You won't wake up every day thinking: Oh man, working out isn't helping me lose weight fast enough.
You'll be able to just continue day by day and stay motivated.
That's the hardest part of any sustained work out regimen.
