Hidden Valley Golf Club Offers Weekend Golf Clinics to Riverside and Orange County Golf Enthusiasts

It can be a bit intimidating for sure to walk onto a golf course with little preparation or confidence in your skills. But, as with anything else, you have to start somewhere, and Riverside golf club owner Jay Miller believes that the game of golf can be enjoyed by just about anyone, despite your current skill level, age, or athleticism.

To attract more players to his Riverside golf club and to the game of golf in general, owner and operator Jay Miller is offering weekend clinics to those Riverside and Orange County golf enthusiasts looking to hone their skills. The 50 minute clinics are held on Saturdays and Sundays from 8am to 11am and are geared towards the beginner golf player. The Riverside golf club even supplies all of the equipment needed for the clinic so even those without their own clubs can participate. Lessons are also provided to intermediate and advanced level players as well.

Beginners will likely find comfort in the course itself. The newly renovated Riverside golf course was designed to be extremely versatile so that players of all ability levels could enjoy a good game of golf while experiencing a little challenge as well. According to the Riverside golf club owner, the course features "six easy holes, six fun holes, and six holes tougher than Chinese arithmetic."

Miller himself also brings some entertainment to the table. He's often seen out on the course chatting it up with his clientele—mostly Riverside and Orange County golf players—hanging out, talking about golf, telling jokes, and just having fun. For Jay, the game of golf isn't just about competition. It's about getting to know people better and simply enjoying life.

One of the things the Riverside golf club owner enjoys most is making improvements. Whether it's helping golf players practice their swings, motivating children to succeed academically through his Get a Grip Foundation, or using his course as a fundraising tool for a local homeless shelter, Jay is always looking for ways to give back and make his home near the Riverside and Orange County golf communities a better place to live.

The now award-winning Hidden Valley Golf Course was also a bit of an improvement project as well, and according to Jay, that is putting it lightly. When he bought the course, it was, in Jay's words "crummy." But after an almost complete renovation, the course is finally something Jay feels proud to offer up to the residents of Riverside as well as to nearby Orange County golf players as well.

In fact, the course was the recent recipient of both the 2010 Golf Course of the Year Award from the California Golf Course Owners Association (CGCOA) and the 2011 National Course of the Year Award from the National Golf Course Owners Association (NGCOA).For more information about the weekend clinics or private lessons offered at Hidden Valley Golf Course, visit www.hiddenvalleygolf.com or call (951) 737-1010.
