Budapest for the Boys

Budapest has recently started to emerge as an up and coming weekend destination for stag nights. I've had my fair share of stags on my Budapest airport transport and whilst there are a few rowdy individuals, most are simply looking for a good time in one of Europe's party capitals.

Strip Clubs

As a driver of Budapest airport transport I often get asked with a wink and a nudge, where the best strip clubs are in the city. Sadly, the truth is that most of Budapest's strip clubs are renowned for ripping off foreigners. Many taxi drivers are also in on the scam and get a hefty commission for taking tourists to the more unscrupulous joints. When asked for recommendations, 4Play is the only place that I would dream of recommending. The club is owned by foreigners, the dancers are stunning and guests are treated like VIPs. I find that a lot of young stags on my Budapest airport transport have grown a little bored of the stag night and stripper experience and are keen to try something a little different. In this instance, I recommend mud wrestling. Mud wrestling generally consists of two rounds, the first, a round between two beautiful women, and the second round where the Stag joins in! However, some groups have been known to surprise the Stag with a roly-poly stripper round.

Beer

One of the reasons that Budapest is so attractive to Stags is because of the abundance of cheap booze. Expect to pay around 80p a pint and just over 2.50 for a bottle of wine. This means that a round of six beers will set you back less than a fiver and with prices like that, how can you possibly turn down an authentic Hungarian pub crawl? With free shots like Unicum and Palinka in most bars, attending a pub crawl is a great way to find some hidden bars frequented by the city's locals. We all know that local bars mean local prices and as most of the pub crawls feature an hour's worth of free drinking, a Stag night pub crawl is a bargain that you can't afford to miss out on.

Daytime Fun

I'm often surprised, whilst driving my Budapest airport transport, by the number of stag groups that haven't got anything planned during the day. As a local, I know that Budapest really comes alive at night, but I also know that there's plenty to entertain large groups of men during the day and this time I'm not talking about strippers and boozing, but rather gun-fire and go-carts.

Head off to the Budapest Pistol Shooting centre for a range of guns that you can't get in the UK, such as the.45 Koch and the Hungarian FEG 9BR. Each marksman gets to fire around 70 shots, beers are included, and there is a competition at the end to determine the winner. If you're not into guns there are plenty of other options to keep your group entertained; from go-carting and bobsledding to Trabi trekking and thermal baths. With such a wide range of attractions is no wonder that Budapest is so popular with the Stag party crowd.
