- The Z34 model was equipped with a 3.4-liter 24-valve V6 engine with a 3.62-inch bore, 3.31-inch stroke and 9.7 compression ratio. The Z34 produced 215 horsepower at 5,200 rpm and 220 ft.-lbs. of torque at 4,400 rpm.
- The Monte Carlo sits on a 107.5-inch wheelbase with an overall length of 200.7 inches, a width of 72.5 inches and a height of 53.8 inches. The interior offered 15.5 cubic feet of cargo room while providing seating for five when equipped with front bucket seats and six when equipped with front bench seat.
- The 3.1-liter LS engine provided 20 mpg city and 29 mph highway, and the 3.5-liter Z34 offered 17 mpg city and 26 mpg highway.
