4 Steps to Reduce Asthma

Asthma is a lung disorder whereby the bronchial airways are inflamed and constricted.
There is also excess mucus production and this is due to injury to the airway surfaces.
The asthmatic patient will experience heavy breathing and wheezing, and in acute attack will end up in fatigue due to the use of accessory muscles for respiration.
One line of thought has it that poor food choices during infancy and childhood is one factor that triggers asthma.
The affected foods are milk, dairy products, chicken, wheat products and red meat.
Animal foods are high in arachidonic acid and other mediators of inflammation.
As such, the respiratory airways are also affected.
When meat is cooked, due to the structural modifications of the oil used, free radicals are formed.
These free radicals can also cause inflammation in the body, therefore adding on to the asthma problem.
That is why fast foods should not be consumed.
We can rid ourselves of asthma by doing these 4 steps exceptionally well: 1.
Be selective of what goes into the mouth.
Properly choose your food and this would include minimizing the carbohydrate intake, avoidance of sugar in whatever forms, refrain from taking flour-based foods and related products.
You are allowed a liberal consumption of properly cooked fowl, fish, and vegetables.
2.
Make it a habit of having a regular thrice weekly exercise so that you can control your weight, and increase your resistance to diseases.
Exercise will strengthen the chest muscles in order to ease breathing.
3.
Check for food allergy.
Studies have shown that food allergy is a contributing factor in at least 70% of childhood asthmatics.
There are some people who react to food colorings including tartrazine.
4.
Ensure that you consume supplements daily.
These include: a) Vitamin C 3000 mg daily to reduce the tendency of the airways going into spasm.
b) Vitamin A 15,000 IU daily c) A multi vitamins and minerals tablet once daily d) Magnesium 200-400 mg daily as it can prevent spasms of the bronchial airways.
e) Omega 3 Oil 2000 mg daily f) Evening Primrose Oil 2000 mg daily
