This book is about World War 2, the battle against the Nazis.
It has interviews with high ranking officers from both sides and with soldiers too.
It accounts from the beginning of the d day invasion to the end the planning and what happened after the invasion was over.
It is an amazing book simply because it has first hand accounts with the highest ranking officers from both sides; you get to see d day through their eyes and what was going through their minds at the time.
It has pictures of some of the brave men before they went into battle and of Hitler's self proclaimed impenetrable Atlantic defenses - "the Atlantic wall" as he called it.
The book starts with facts and what was happening before the invasion on the German side which explains in great detail the ordeals the Germans were dealing with during the days before the invasion.
It also explains in great detail what the allies went through in the days before the invasion.
what the troops were going through their thoughts of what might happen to them.
The book is fantastic for any one who would like to know what happened before after and during d day jun 6 1944.
The book is amazingly vivid in its description the the events that took place in the d day battle.
The pictures are of amazing clarity considering the time they were taken in.
The things that both sides went through is amazing you will find yourself going for both sides hoping they find the answer to their problems.
