In a surprising turn of events, Mary gets voted out of Micronesia . As the Fans get ready to face the Tribal Council, the original plan was to eliminate who they though was their weakest member. The decision was between Tracy and Chet. But just before the Tribal Council, Joel disturbs the plan. He convinces the tribe to vote out Mary and succeeds in chipping away one of his great competitors. Mary becomes the second person to leave the reality TV series Survivor Micronesia . Below is a recap on the previous episode.

In the Ariai tribe, Kathy Chet and Tracy feel isolated and outcast from the group. As a result, they build their own camp away from the rest of the tribe. Kathy thinks that they have been shunned by the others and feels that they can't do anything about it because they are outnumbered.

At Malakal, the tribe finishes their cores ahead of time and this leaves room for personal activities. Amanda and Ozzy giggles while opening a clam while Parvati and James flirt on the beach. The night also turns out to be a steamy one as Amanda and Ozzy engages in a hot make-out session while the rest of the tribe sleep around them. Cirie and Jonathan gets awaken and Jonathan admits that he believes the couple will bring in trouble in the future.

The tribes reconvene at the immunity/reward challenge and compete for fishing gear, a bamboo fishing boat and Immunity. Host Probst explains each tribe has to choose five swimmers, three puzzle makers and one key master. The mechanics goes on like this: the swimmers, one-by-one, will race to the floating tower, climb to the top, and jump off while smashing a hanging tile. A key will be released and the swimmer must dive down to retrieve it. Once all five keys are in, the key-masters shall figure out the series of locks on a chest. The chest contains puzzle pieces. The first tribe to assemble the puzzle wins.

Ozzy gives the Favorites a head start as he returns to shore before the Fans' first competitor, Jason. Chet also struggles in finding his key underwater, adding all the more to the Favorites' huge lead. While the Fans are stumbling, James from the Favorites unlocks the chest and Eliza and Cirie quickly put together the puzzle.

As another prize, the winning tribe gets to select one person from the losing tribe and send him/her to Exile Island . The Favorites chooses Kathy. They also have to choose a member from their group. Cirie volunteers. Kathy and Cirie then made a search for the hidden Immunity Idol but neither succeeded in their hunt.
