Solutions to rain during your uganda vacation

Rain is a major news event. However, I grew up in central Uganda, and it was rarely commented on unless it got in the way of a picnic or other planned outdoor activity.

On most Uganda vacations, rain can be a problem, but it doesn't have to be. In fact, we went to Queen Elizabeth National Park a couple of years ago and it rained one out of five days. What did we do? Well, our younger daughter bought a jigsaw puzzle and we spent the day putting it together. It took something like seventeen hours, but it kept us entertained. The rain didn't really bother us because it's such a rarity.

Many Uganda Safari destinations have indoor activities, such as museums, art galleries and such like, which can be fun. In Uganda, there are many Missions which have indoor tours. If all else fails, the movies and bowling alleys may be good options to have fun even though the weather is nasty.

If you're from an area that has few thunderstorms, whether can be magnificent to watch. Do so with care, as lightening is a danger. I've seen people pushing metal shopping carts holding metal tipped umbrellas in these storms and that is not a particularly good idea.

It is spectacular to watch the waves come in that is if your safari was near the coast. I've seen breakers of ten to twelve feet, and it is an awesome display. Surfing under those conditions is not recommended, and you should watch from a safe vantage point but it is really cool to watch.

You can go shopping or dining if its worse outdoor .It being that some shopping districts are little more than tourist traps, other areas have large malls that let you prowl through various shops. Bookstores are great, as you can find something to while away the time once you're finished exploring the mall.

It would also be fun to find a romantic restaurant with live music and perhaps dancing. If it's just the two of you, it could be a wonderful date night when it comes to dining

Rain isn't a bad thing on vacations unless you let it be. You may not be able to do all the things you had in mind, but with a bit of advance planning, you may be able to find fun pursuits that make it a memorable time.
