Having a Boy or Girl? The Guessing Game is Over

When discussing the issue about being able to choose the gender of your baby, you can't avoid facing the question of whether the process is immoral or unethical.  In the modern world we live in, the traditional ways have not been completely forgotten, that's why some couples still hesitate to take advantage of these methods.  Some would say it's like "playing God" – but is it really that complicated of an issue?  Personally, I don't think so.  If you're considering cloning a human being, that for me is playing God.  The methods used for baby gender predictions are all natural, so it shouldn't really be considered immoral.  Is it really wrong for wanting to make sure that the gender of your baby's gender is what you prefer, and not guess whether you're having a boy or girl.

Methods on choosing baby gender naturally have been around for quite some time now.  Take the Chinese Lunar Calendar method as an example.  Also called the Chinese Gender Predictor Chart, the said method has been around for hundreds of years.  It has been said that it was discovered in a tomb in China seven hundred years ago, the original copy now displayed at Beijing Institute of Science.  If you're wondering how come the Chinese people devised a thing like that in the past – according to studies, Chinese families have always preferred their children to be male rather than female.  Because its main source of living lies in agriculture, male children meant more helpers in the field.  This is why a Chinese Scientist or Chinese Scientists came up with chart to be used for baby gender predictions.

Today, the Chinese Lunar Calendar method is still used, because scientific findings have proven it to be accurate, based on couples who used it in the past.  The basis of the calendar is a woman's age, and the month of conception of the baby, not the month when the baby will be born. Since the calendar is dependent on the lunar calendar, you need to add nine months to the woman's age.  If you take a look at the calendar, the top row with months from January to December, that's where you will choose the month of conception, while the left corner stands for the age of the mother.  The graph, or boxes where you see the letters ‘B' and ‘G' on them, B stands for boy, while G stands for girl.  To use the method, you need to add nine months to the age of the mother first.  Once you have determined the mother's age according to the lunar calendar, you should now choose the month the child will be conceived.  Follow the coordinates when you match the two data.  It will show you if a boy (B) or girl (G) will be conceived on the month you chose.  If the result is not what you want, just adjust the month until you get the month when the baby gender you like will be conceived.

Aside from the Chinese Lunar Calendar method, there other methods of baby gender predictions around.  Click here to find out more about them.
