If you play quarterback, you obviously want to be the best you can be and give your team the best possible chance to win.
If you are making too many bad decisions, throwing too many interceptions, or just want to be a better QB, listen up! First, you have to have the desire to get better and the desire to win.
If you play the game with a passion and a purpose, it will help you tremendously.
Next, you have to have faith in your teammates that they will do their job.
Have confidence in your receivers to catch a pass if you make a good throw.
This will boost your energy and the atmosphere of the team.
If you are throwing too many interceptions, try this.
Next time you do passing drills in practice, do not try and time your receivers.
Simply look at them and your brain will do the rest.
If you try to make every calculation of where they are going to be and where you need to lead them, etc.
, it will almost always be a bad pass.
Another tip, make sure you know who you are supposed to read! So many youth quarterbacks will come up to the line and pre-determine who they are going to throw the ball to.
Have confidence in your brain to make the right decision fast and your arm to make a good, solid throw.
Remember: You are the leader on the field.
You are just like another assistant coach.
Lead your team!
