How to Disable Microsoft Verification Authentication

    • 1). Reboot Windows in Safe Mode. You do this by restarting the computer and tapping the F8 key as it boots.

    • 2). Accept the Safe Mode version of Windows.

    • 3). Open the Run box by clicking on the Start button and selecting Run, or by holding down the Windows key (to the left of the Alt key on the left side of the keyboard.

    • 4). Type "regedit" (without the quotes) to open the Registry Editor. This is a very delicate editor; you can really cause problems here if you are not careful.

    • 5). Back up your registry. Click on File at the top left of the registry screen and select Export.

    • 6). Export the file to a location where you can find it again if you need it. The file will end in .reg.

    • 7). Search for the wgalogon folder by clicking on Edit at the top, selecting Find and typing in "wgalogon" (without quotes). You will find a wgalogon folder.

    • 8). Delete the wgalogon folder either with the keyboard Del key or by right-clicking and choosing Delete.

    • 9). Exit the registry.

      Open My Computer and search for all files with wga by searching for wga*.

    • 11

      Delete the wga* files.

    • 12

      Restart your computer.
