- 1). Hang a mirror on a wall directly opposite the window in the room. The mirror will reflect light coming in from the window into the room for added brightness.
- 2). Choose throw pillows in a light, neutral color such as tan, white or cream as accents to chocolate brown bed coverings. Set the throw pillows on the bed and on each of the chairs in your bedroom, if you have those.
- 3). Change your curtains to a shade to match the throw pillows to bring a cohesiveness of color to the room.
- 4). Add lamps into dark corners to lighten the room overall.
