I am a "pusher" of the whole positive thinking concept and I see people basically taking that a little too literally.
There is an awareness that our subconscious operates in a way that is certainly not clearly understood, but what we do know is the fact that it is possible to almost think your way to success.
What do I mean by almost? In this article about positive thinking, I'll describe some misconceptions that folks have about applying it properly in order to have what they want.
Positive Thinking Creates Action! Some people assume incorrectly that positive thinking is really a great deal of "mumbo jumbo".
As for those typical people like me who recommend that an individual must integrate positive thinking in their life, don't misunderstand the message.
I am a strong believer that a little change DOES make a change and can genuinely go a long way towards helping anyone achieve success, but there is another aspect that I wish to address.
I run across some people who simply think that just changing their mindset is all that's required to achieve success.
Oh how naive they are my friend.
You'll find leaders that think that pumping up their staff, team, or down-line with rah-rah speeches is the answer for motivating them.
Sorry, that does not cut it! Positive Thinking Professionals For anyone who is a believer in positive thinking then you most likely know about excellent teachers which includes Zig Ziglar, Tony Robbins and Dr.
Norman Vincent Peale for example.
These guys are whom I draw my inspiration from.
If you understand what they teach, then you already know that they talk about ACTION! They discuss LEARNING! They talk about VISUALIZATION! You see, if you think that positive thinking is really a uncomplicated activity and it is going to change your life, you're sadly mistaken.
Action must come as well as the thoughts if you genuinely want change and success.
If you are a leader, for instance, of a company or multi-level marketing business, you can't merely give "rah-rah" speeches.
You will need to back up what you say with lessons and teaching.
You must (just as these great teachers that I so dearly adore) integrate resources together with your teaching and give your workforce what they really need.
What is that? Your staff needs the three "Ts": training, tools, and thoughts.
Thoughts turn out to be real as long as there's action.
Positive Thinking Tools Certainly one of my favorite rituals is listening daily to some self-improvement product.
For the last few decades I have a lot of books from some brilliant people and for me, it has changed my life.
These are MY rituals.
What are your rituals? Have a look at the video discussing implementing rituals and how it can help in ANY component of your daily life.
Many people are spiritual in their everyday rituals and begin their day with some quiet time with the Bible.
Many people actually get out of bed and start off with a set of push-ups next to their bed.
Quite possibly your daily ritual isn't in the morning; maybe you may have a daily practice at your desk.
I know people who write within a "thank you" journal.
You see, it is very important make a change in your daily life; it's not all about positive thinking.
I love audio self-improvement; it really makes me feel jazzed.
To your success, Sharon Koenig The Prosperous Lady
