There's always one man who comes to my mind when I think of biceps and strong muscles-Popeye! I'm sure you're smiling, by all means; it is a pleasant thought of course.
Of course you ill have to agree with me, if ever a sailor was 'strong to the finish' it was Popeye.
Ever wonder how he did it? Well spinach was one clue, but what else? Let's talk about that.
Welcome to our training center for your arm-muscles! Our arm is basically composed of three kinds of muscle; 1.
Biceps: these are the ones that help us pick up the glass of water.
They are also the ones Popeye showed off to Bruto when he ate the spinach.
These are located on the front of our upper arm.
2.
Triceps: these are the ones that help us put down the glass of water.
Thus, their function is opposite to that of biceps.
They are also the ones that tend to hag as arm-flab.
They are located at the back of the upper arm.
3.
Fore-arm Muscle: these run from the wrist to the elbow.
These are numerous in number, neglecting them often results in problems like wrist spasms.
Now that we what muscle is where and what does what, let's move ahead.
Why is it so important know about and care about arm-muscles, why not the whole body? Well for starters, the whole body is important.
But while just about all work outs you do tend to help tone your entire body, effects on arms is often the last to show.
The arm muscles require special attention so that they gain the shape we want.
Jogging, for instance, does wonders for your chest, belly, thighs and legs but fails to bring noticeable change in the arms.
The arm muscles also don't gather as much fat so the more common problem men and women and women face about their arms is just a look of looseness.
So what to do? Here are some exercises that will help your arm get into shape.
Just remember, good things come to those who wait.
Don't rush or push your body gradual improvements will last longer.
1.
Throwing your arms: no I don't mean literally get rid of them! What kind of movement does your arm make when you want to throw a ball to your dog? The starting step for arm-muscle exercise warm-up is to move your arms around, particularly in a fashion that imitates you were throwing something.
This stretches your muscles.
2.
Hit the dumbbells: buy ½ lbs to 1 lbs dumbbells or use equivalent water bottles, soup cans, etc.
anything that holds nicely.
Lifting these slowly for about 10 repetitions is a great toning exercise.
3.
Boxing: boxing is the one exercise which is becoming the rave these days, and I don't mean just for ESPN fans.
This one exercise tones your whole body, but is especially great for your arm muscles.
Be sure you have a proper trainer before embark on this journey.
4.
Never lift heavy weights: something avoid; hanging heavy bags from your shoulder for extended periods of time.
They ruin your posture and cause your muscles to feel fatigued as well as distorts their shape.
Your arms can look amazing with just a little attention.
Why deny them? Go for it!
