While sweating is highly important for detoxifying your body, excessive sweating is never a healthy sign.
Moreover, it leaves the person stinky, stains the clothes and makes you look someone who is less than bothered about hygiene, which is often far from truth, for people suffering from hyperhidrosis.
This is a medical term used for excessive sweating and is not in a person's control.
It is in fact is caused due to the hyper activity of the sympathetic nervous system which controls involuntary actions like heart rate, blood pressure, anxiety level etc.
Some of the best and very simple methods to stop excessive sweating are given below: 1.
Increase water Intake Instead of going for caffeinated drinks or artificial-flavored juices etc, go for pure water.
Water can help in lowering your body temperature which is helpful for reducing sweating.
So, never forget to take your water bottle along, whenever you go out.
2.
Take Cold Showers Doesn't matter if it sounds weird but cold showers can really help in stopping excessive sweating.
It can also get rid of the foul smell, sweat accompanies.
3.
Acupuncture Acupuncture is a widely known technique used for stopping excessive sweating.
It helps in relaxing the brain cells which consequently calms your sympathetic nervous system.
People suffering from this condition can also try yoga as that also shows effective results in controlling this issue.
4.
Don't Stress Out The more stressed and nervous you are, the more active your sympathetic nervous system will get and hence, more sweating will be experienced.
So stay calm and help yourself get rid of this problem.
However, if nothing seems to work for you, you can always resort to oral medications and treatments like botox, nerve root destruction, and sympathectomey.
However, visit your physician before resorting to any of these treatments as they aren't only expensive but some also have side effects.
I'm personally a big fan of natural remedies and I actually used such methods to cure my own hyperhidrosis few months ago.
I've tried using "magic pills" or special antiperspirants, but nothing seemed to work.
What's important to understand, is that the effectiveness of these methods depends on the level of your hyperhidrosis.
For example, if you have primary hyperhidrosis, then treating it won't be the same as secondary, because the causes are different, hence the treatment must be different as well to be effective, otherwise you won't see any results.
