- 1). Locate the frequently asked questions of your service online. Find the information about sub accounts and primary accounts. Occasionally, primary accounts will be called master accounts.
- 2). Read the information carefully. You can generally find the answer to your inquiry in the FAQ. If you can't change the status, you can't do anything about further.
- 3). Contact the company directly. If the FAQ didn't answer your question, locate the company's customer support phone number and inquire with a live person. They will be able to assist you.
- 4). Change the account status. If your service does allow such a change, follow the specific instructions for doing so. You can talk to a live person and have them do so for you over the phone. You will have to answer some security verification questions in order to authorize this request.
